Hall of Fame Inductee

Picture
Mazur Angel
Location: Area FF/Lot 84
Date of Placement: @2017
Decedents: Jane Bixby Mazur

Monument inducted into the Hall in September 2025 (Class #5)
A modern style angel stands atop this gravesite, just a foot above a ground level marker for the decedent. An angel monument holding roses in a cemetery is a deeply symbolic memorial that represents eternal love, remembrance, and heavenly guardianship. These statues frequently incorporate floral carvings to bring a sense of tenderness and grace to a loved one's resting place.

The Angel: Represents divine protection, a connection to the spiritual realm, and an escort to heaven.

The Roses: Often symbolize beauty, affection, and love that continues beyond life. A single rose can also represent devotion or a specific message of lasting love.

Poses: An angel might be depicted kneeling, weeping, or standing gracefully, which reflects the mourner's grief or the eternal peace of the deceased.
