2024
2024 Flag Day Program
Friday, June 14th @ 6:00pm
Francis Scott Key Chapel (Rain or Shine)*
Mount Olivet Cemetery
Frederick, Maryland
As part of our annual "Flag Day Author's Talk" series, we will feature local author and historian John W. Ashbury. John has written and published a number of books on Frederick people of the past and events of town. Many are buried here in Mount Olivet, including his parents. John also contributes regularly to Frederick Magazine with the popular profile articles. His 1997 work, "...and all our yesterdays: A Chronicle of Frederick County, Maryland" is a must have for the local Frederick history lover.
Bring your John Ashbury books, if you have them in your collection, and John will graciously sign them after his presentation. He will have a few remaining copies of some of his works on hand.
*(This is scheduled as an outdoor event, please bring a lawn chair. If it rains, we will go inside the chapel)
